Episode 89 - BWR AZ, TT Helmet Absurdity, Tire Pressure, and Inside Jokes
What up party people. We’ve got a jam packed show for y’all this week. I had to duck out early so I’m not totally sure what the rest of the crew talked about for the final half hour but while I was still on we heard Dizzle’s breakdown from BWR AZ, talk about the whack new TT helmet just released by Giro, assess Keegan’s claimed tire pressure numbers, and more.
Hit us up with any feedback or questions for the show at [email protected] or slide into those Insta DMs(@bonkbros @dylanjawnson @adamsaban6 @tylerclouti @raddaddizzle @scottmcgilljr). Oh and in case y’all haven’t heard, the crew is going to be bringing the banter to MidSouth next week so keep an eye out for some meet and greets to be announced as well as the possibility of a course pre-ride or something. Alright let’s get this thing started.

Episode 86 - Gear Talk, Tales of the Trade, SSCXWC, and What’s In Store for 2024 w/ Tobin Ortenblad
What is up party people. We’ve got another banger episode for y’all with our first guest appearance of the 2024 season. Tobin Ortenblad joined us and his witty, sometimes nerdy, and just plain down-to-earth personality fit right in with the crew for what turned into one of the more fun recordings we’ve had in a while. We get some intel into what it’s like to be the PIC for one of the best in the biz right now, get into the weeds on some gear head talk, share some stories from within the races, and even get into some conversation on rider safety, especially in the world of gravel racing.

Speaking of rider safety, I want to take a moment to send some get well wishes to fellow cyclist, coach, podcaster, and family man, Derek Teel aka @DialedHealth, who was victim of a hit and run accident two weeks ago while riding his bike which left him in a pretty bad way. Thank God he survived but he’s got a long road to recovery ahead. So we wish you well Derek and to everyone else stay safe on those bicycles because it’s the Wild Wild West out there on the streets these days. I wish I could say these types of accidents are becoming less frequent as more riders turn to dirt, however, it just doesn’t seem to be the case.

What up party people. Shout to one of our listeners for sending in the clip from Family Guy that inspired the party people tag line - it took over a year for someone to finally bridge the connection. I don’t even like Family Guy but that was one of the one-liners I remember and it’s always stuck. So who knows, now that I’m outed, might have to come up with some other way of addressing y’all at the stop or maybe we’ll just stick with it. Anyways, with another slow week in the bike racing world we brought some discussion topics to the table again before diving into some fun listener questions. We’ve got a huge backlog of submissions so if you’ve sent in a burning question that you really want an answer to asap for timing relevancy, make sure to note this early in your question so we can try to get to it on time.

What up party people. Happy fricken New Year. How in the world we’re entering our third year of podcast I have no idea but until this things blows up in or face or we finally just get too sick of each other, we’re going to keep this thing rolling. We decided it was about time we add just a liiiitle bit of structure to the madness and each came with a burning topic we wanted to throw on the table for discussion. None of us shared these with each other before so everything is still off the cuff, just enough structure to keep the conversations flowing.

Alright alright let’s get this thing started.
